About Newington Gunners Soccer Club

Would you like to be a Newington Sponsor? Click here

Newington Gunners Soccer Club (NGSC) was formed in 2004 to provide an opportunity to build community within Newington and to provide the young people in the area an opportunity to play soccer in an environment where good sportsmanship and skill development are emphasised. We are affiliated with the NSW Churches Football Association (celebrating its 86th year in 2005).

Our club is supported by the McCredie Uniting Church in Guildford and we are sponsored financially by Ermington Physiotherapy and United Postal Service.  Our name and logo reflect the area's past in naval munitions and our uniform of green, red and white incorporates the colours (red and white) of our sister club in Guildford.

No club can function without the support of its members. It is an expectation that parents of players will assist where possible. No person within our club is paid for their services, we are all volunteers helping each other and the children. Coaching and referee courses are available for parents and older players. All players, parents, spectators and coaches must follow the Code of Practice which follows.
